Colby diary, p. 61 (October 5-October 7, 1858) Description An account of the resource Transcript: ["59" crossed out, "61" written to right] wrote half a dozen pages of foolscap to Mrs S. then went to bed but not to sleep, for I was wakeful and could have written all night. The spirit was still upon me all the forenoon, but I could not yield to the mood for I had lots to do; but I've done it all, and coaxed back the wayward fancies and wrote a little while before supper. But to night I'm dull and weary. Wish I could recall the dreams of the morning and give them form and shape on paper. But as that may not be I'll write awhile to Annie & [Laurie?] October 7th 1858 Wee-darlings are all asleep, the folks are all out and I'm alone by a blazing fire.
