On August 24, 1933, the Bloomington, Illinois newspaper the Pantagraph announced that “Mrs. Florence Fifer Bohrer of Franklin Square will go to Chicago Tuesday [August 29] to be a guest speaker for the Chicago Woman’s Club at A Century of Progress. The meeting will be held in the south lecture room of the Hall of Science, and Mrs. Bohrer will speak at 11 a.m. The address will be followed by a luncheon in Mrs. Bohrer’s honor at the Woman’s Club building on Michigan Avenue. Mrs. Bohrer’s topic will be ‘Woman in Government.’
